Rules of the competition entitled My Czech Story
Basic provisions
- 1. The competition is organized by Czech Radio, an organization established on the basis of Act n. 484/1991 Col. on Czech Radio, located at Vinohradská 12, Prague 2 120 99, Ident. n. 45245053, in cooperation with CzechTourism, located at Vinohradská 46, Prague 2 120 00, Ident. n. 49277600 (hereafter referred to as “Organizer”).
- 2. The competition takes place between August 26 and September 30, 2013.
Participation in the competition
- 1. Participants join the competition by uploading their entries at the web site www.radio.cz/my-czech-story
- 2. Competitive entries are photographs containing “my Czech story”, perhaps a place in the Czech Republic or abroad or any other Czech trace (a Czech product, family relatives, etc.). The uploaded photograph must have a name or – if its content is not obvious at first sight – a short text description. Participants also include their e-mail addresses, name and surname.
- 3. Competitive entries must be original, i.e. authored by competition participants, and must not infringe on the rights of third persons.
- 4. By uploading competitive entries at www.radio.cz/my-czech-story each participant expresses consent with the Organizer’s right to use the name of the participant and their competitive entries on the Organizer’s web site and in its promotional materials related to the competition for the purpose of its promotion. In such case the Organizer undertakes to state the participant’s name in the description of the entry in each usage.
- 5. Citizens of countries other than the Czech Republic may participate in the competition. Participants must be 18 years or older.
- 6. Competitive entries that fail to meet the above state requirements will not be included in the competition.
Evaluation of competitive entries
- 1. The participant whose competitive entry is evaluated as the most original will be declared winner of the competition.
- 2. The winner of the competition will be determined by a jury composed of representatives of Czech Radio Radio Prague and CzechTourism within 30 days since the end of the competition.
Prizes
- 1. The main prize of the competition for the winner of the competition is a three-day stay in the Czech Republic for two persons including airfare of up to CZK 20,000.
- 2. Another 9 winners will receive gifts: T-shirts, books and CDs.
- 3. The results of the competition along with the names of the winners will be released at within 5 days since the jury’s ruling and published at www.radio.cz.
- 4. The Organizer undertakes to contact the winners via their e-mail addresses sent in by the participants with their competitive entries. In case the Organizer fails to reach the winner within 14 days since the evaluation of the competition and arrange the handing of the prize, the winner loses the right to claim the prize and the prize will be forfeited to the Organizer.
- 5. The prizes will be handed to the winners personally on the basis of a transfer protocol or they will be sent by post to the address given to Organizer by the winner.
Organizer’s declaration
- 1. By participating in this competition, the participant accepts these rules without reservation and pledges to follow them.
- 2. Any financial fulfillment of the prizes is impossible.
- 3. Employees of the Organizer and persons under contracts with the organizers, their relatives and close associates are excluded from participating in the competition.
- 4. The Organizer reserves the right to change the rules or prizes of the competition at an point during the competition, to interrupt, prolong or cancel the competition without compensation.
- 5. In case the winner fails to present themselves in order to receive the prize personally or fails to take over the shipment containing the prize within the time stipulated by postal services, or in case of other circumstances barring the benefit for the winner that are not caused by the operator, the winner loses the right to the prize which will be forfeited to the Organizer.

- 7. Participants’ personal data will be processed solely for the purpose of the evaluation of the competition, handing over of the prizes and a statistical evaluation of the survey and will then be destroyed.
