Michal Hrůza is one of the Czech Republic’s most notable singers and songwriters. The 43-year-old, who hails from Turnov, got his start in the mid-1990s with Ready Kirken with whom he wrote numerous hits, before moving on to a solo career and performing with Kapela Hrůzy.
Sadly, last week Hrůza was attacked by two youths while in Ostrava, and ended up undergoing emergency brain surgery. He was being kept in an artificial coma and no further information has been released at the request of his family. In today’s programme, we’d like to play you some of his best-known songs and express our support and hopes for his speedy and complete recovery.
