Statistics office: Czech economy slowed in second quarter

Czech economic growth slowed to 2.5 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2016, while the GDP rose by 0.9 percent, the Czech Statistics Office has revealed its estimate. In the first quarter the economy grew by 3.0 percent and the GDP by 0.4 percent. Industry and services played a crucial role while GDP growth was boosted by foreign demand and household consumption.
