New planned Metro line to be short of stops

The planned Metro D line in Prague may end up having only two stations, at the beginning and end of its route, as the city has been unable to acquire the necessary adjacent land to build more, according to reports. The line would begin at Prague’s Pankrác, close to the city centre, and end at Písnice. Original plans counted on the line having ten stops and the new line is to be 10.6 kilometres in length. Prague Mayor Adriana Krnáčová and Deputy Mayor Petr Dolínek approved the modifications to the original proposal, prague.tv reported, and submitted the proposal for the two-station line to the Prague Public Transit Company’s Supervisory Board.
