March unemployment drops to 6.1 percent

Unemployment in the Czech Republic dropped to 6.1 percent in March, from February’s 6.3 percent, the Czech Labour Office announced on Friday. There were 443,109 people without a job, which is the lowest March figure since 2008, and 117,335 vacancies. At the same period last year, unemployment stood at 7.2 percent and there were over 525,000 jobless.
